Fundraising

SAGA School is a 501c-3 nonprofit organization and all donations are tax deductible. Donations allow us to renovate and upgrade our facilities and augment our ability to purchase German language books and other classroom materials. Fundraising efforts have included book and picture sales, silent auction, children's drawing calendar (Kindermalkalender) sales, Escrip rewards program participation and PCC scrip cards.

Escrip

Escrip is an organization through which participating business partners contribute a percentage of a patron's grocery loyalty card (Safeway, Bartell's), credit card, online shopping through escrip's Online Mall, and debit/ATM card purchases to the school, group or organization of his or her choice.

The SAGA School greatly encourages all parents and supporters to register your credit and other purchasing cards with Escrip as a means of benefitting the school. To do so, simply log into www.escrip.com and register either with SAGA's ID #: 500004492 or by searching for Seattle Area German American School.

PCC Scrip Cards

Earn money for SAGA through your purchases at PCC! By purchasing a PCC scrip card from SAGA, 5% of all purchases made with the card are returned to the school. Cards are rechargeable and redeemable at all PCC locations. Contact the SAGA Treasurer for more information or to purchase a card.

Winterfest Silent Auction Fundraiser

On December 15, 2010, SAGA School hosted its annual Winterfest celebration. This event featured German food, a market with local artisans, kid's crafts, St. Nikolaus and a silent auction to raise money for a new playground. Over two thousand dollars was raised, making the silent auction a huge success! The SAGA School would like to recognize and thank those individuals and businesses who contributed items to the silent auction:
