In this class we build and program little machines, using Lego WeDo for 1st and 2nd grade and Lego Spike Essential for 3rd through 5th grade.

We are excited to offer a Blockflöte/Recorder program at SAGA. This program offers music instruction for all ages and levels of expertise. Very young beginners are being led into the world of music by the music cat. We will learn the foundation of recorder playing as well as experience music with our entire bodies, listen, sing and dance. Rhythmic exercises and games will enrich the experience. 

As the retention span for young children is still very short, we offer a twice-weekly class for PreK and Kindergarten on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information you may contact Sabine.Endrigkeit@sagaschool.org.

The more advanced classes (current students or students with previous experience on the recorder) will expand on their knowledge of music reading and performing, learn how to co-operate in an ensemble and eventually delve into more challenging musical literature. Weekly classes will be offered Wednesdays. 

PreK class is open for new students (SAGA/Non-Students) Kindergarten (Kiga) through 3rd Grade classes are for returning students only.

Do you like running? Come and join us for fun running activities. No previous running experience is required. Classes are on Wednesdays from 3:00pm – 4:00pm. Rain or shine - just bring a light rain jacket and your running shoes.

In this course, children will improve their awareness of nature and learn about mammals, birds, plants, and survival in our ecosystem through exploration, play, and interacting with land and the elements. Social learning and team building will be integrative elements in all the sessions. Children and staff will walk down to Carkeek Park from the school. Pickup will be at the park.

Note: This class is offered to current SAGA daytime students 1st to 5th Grade only.

Dates:  April 18 - June 6, 2024

Cost: $306 for 8 sessions

Experience German music, finger play, stories and movement with your child. Children ages 10 to 29 months are welcome. The class is taught by Janet Scholz. Janet is an experienced Preschool teacher. She enjoys singing and music. No prior exposure to German is required for parent or child.

Age Group: Children ages 10 to 29 months and their parent/caretaker

Dates: 

• Fall Session: starting 9/21/2023 and ending 12/7/2023 
• Winter Session: starting1/11/2024 and ending 4/4/2024
• Spring Session: starting 4/25/2024 and ending 6/6/2024
• No classes during Thanksgiving, Winter, Mid-Winter and Spring Break

Cost: Fall: $110 (11 weeks), Winter: $120 (12 weeks), Spring: $70 (7 weeks)
